$1.6M in tax refunds and $6.3M in stimulus checks in the mail

The Department of Revenue & Taxation has processed and the Department of Administration will mail 525 2019 tax refund checks this week.

The checks total approximately $ 1,604,251 including refunds garnished to repay government debts for error-free returns filed on or before October 14, 2020.

In addition, DRT has processed another 5,965 EIP 2 checks totaling approximately $6.39 million.

EIP 2 was authorized by the COVID-related Tax Relief Act of 2020 (CRTRA).

Checks were transmitted to the Treasurer of Guam for mailing this week.

To date, 71,176 EIP 2 checks totaling approximately $75,379,338 have been processed.

March 19, 2021 is the last date that EIP 2 payments will be made.

Basis for EIP 2 Program Payment Processing

EIP 2 Program payments are based on validly filed and processed 2019 Guam Individual Income Tax Returns or for non-filers, validly filed and processed Forms EIP-NF filed by November 21, 2020.
