Eleven personnel from Guam Fire Department’s Station 4 (Dededo) and eight personnel from Station 1 (Tamuning) were tested for COVID 19.
Only one, assigned to the Tamuning Fire Station, tested positive, according to GFD spokesman Kevin Reilly.
“We are following CDC guidelines and GMH protocols in regards to the member returning to work; a minimum of ten days,” Reilly said.
He added that minimal exposure was recorded, credited mainly to firefighters adhering to the GFD infection control plan.
“This effort on behalf of our members is a testament to their commitment to keeping their families and our community safe,” Reilly said.
