Guam – A kilo of cocaine was discovered washed ashore on Anderson Airforce base last night.

DEA Resident Agent Edward Talbot shared that at this point they believe it to be similar in nature and associated to some degree to the cocaine which washed ashore in Mangilao on March 17th.

The DEA is working with AFB law enforcement officers, the US Coast Guard and the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency to investigate the discovery. This is an ongoing investigation.

Talbot reminds the public that if you do find a suspicious package do not open it for safety reasons, instead contact local authorities immediately.
