$10.8M DOD contract for Guam contractor Serrano Construction and Development


The Department of Defense has announced the award of a firm-fixed-price $10.8-million contract to the Serrano Construction and Development Corporation of Dededo, Guam.

The contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award design-build construction contract that calls for the renovation of enlisted personnel unaccompanied housing units 25007, 25009, 25011, 25016 and 25017 at Andersen Air Force Base in Yigo.

The job calls for the replacement of windows, door hardware, built-up roofing, roof ventilators, and photocell devices, installation of covers for fire alarm pull stations and painting of areas affected by new work. It includes the demolition and disposal of items affected by the renovation.

The work is expected to be completed by February 2024.

The total value of the contract is $10,833,673.

The Navy’s fiscal 2020 operation and maintenance funds will be used. The money will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The contract was awarded by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas on Guam Serrano Construction and Development was among three proposals received.
