Guam- About 100 children from the Guam National Guard’s Camp Freedom have given the beaches of Guam’s capital city a makeover.
The beach clean up took place from the Hagatna Waste Water Treatment Plant area to Adelup Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Young people collected over 50 bags of trash, not including numerous tires and scrap metals. The group also recycled because they are following a “Go Green” theme this summer.
Camp Freedom was created and designed for kids who have parents that are deployed or have been deployed to places like Iraq and Afghanistan.
