The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) has received its May shipment of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

A total of 10,500 doses were received in good condition as part of Guam’s May allocation of 74,630 doses.

Meanwhile, Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel says Moderna is committed to developing vaccines to curb emerging coronavirus variants found in South Africa and elsewhere.

He added that their studies have shown that the Moderna vaccine works against the UK variant of COVID-19 which has already been identified in three cases on Guam.
