13.2 Million Investment for Road Resurfacing

New investment of 13.2 million for road resurfacing on Tamuning’s busiest roads, aims to make commuting safer for both drivers and pedestrians.

The project held its groundbreaking ceremony last Friday and is scheduled to finish in 360 days.

The road surfacing will affect the ITC intersection, the memorial circle, GMH, and Ypao road.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero said that besides this being proof of the economic recovery of the Island, the project is also important because it will contribute to the safety of the drivers and the people that go to the area for sport activities.

Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio said, “We have a very good line up of projects that are meant to improve the quality of life for the people of Guam. Here in this commercial district these roads, which are traversing through some of the most critical areas, not only for commerce, but also for healthcare right, we have clinics and the hospital is down the road, the residential community, really much needed improvements that in many ways are part of the recovery of the island.”
