131st COVID-linked death: 36-year-old woman with underlying health conditions

The Joint Information Center was notified that Guam’s 131st COVID-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH) on February 27, 2021, at approximately 3:04 a.m.

The patient was a 36-year-old female with underlying health conditions. She was admitted to GMH on January 7, 2021, and was a known positive case.

“Jeff, Josh, and I send our deepest condolences to the family and friends who are left to mourn. Though words cannot heal the pain or fill the void left by a loved one who has passed, all of us must do what we can to stop this virus from taking another. We cannot afford to become complacent,” said Governor Lou Leon Guerrero.
