A man has been sentenced at the Superior Court of Guam for assaulting another man during a bar fight.
Justin Huhe will serve two years behind bars for assaulting a man known to him. According to the Office of the Attorney General, Huhe left the victim with serious injuries to his face including a facial fracture.
Prosecuting attorney Sean Brown said, “Based on the injuries sustained by the victim, the Office of the Attorney General asked the Court to impose a sentence of 3 years. The defendant’s actions were excessive and egregious. The physical pain and injuries endured by the victim in this case warranted the prison sentence handed down by the Court. The People are satisfied with the result in this case and we will continue to hold people who commit violent crimes accountable.”
Court documents state that in October 2017, police responded to Kave’s bar where they found a man lying in a pool of blood in the parking lot. Witnesses told police the men were arguing inside the bar before leaving.
He was also implicated in another bar fight were he is accused of threatening two men and a woman and stating, “I have killed people for a lot less” as he held a knife to the neck of his victim.
