15 Year Old Boy Suffers Back Wound After Trying to Break Up A Fight

Guam – A 15 year old boy was treated and released from GMH Saturday night after suffering a wound to his back, possibly caused by a knife.

GMH Nursing Supervisor Cely Mangrobang told PNC News that the boy was treated and released. When asked if the boy was stabbed, she said “it wasn’t deep enough, it was a superficial wound.”

GPD Public Information Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the incident occurred Saturday night about 10:30 during a party at a Dededo Park.

Officer Balajadia states that the boy told police he tried to break up a fight “when he felt a sharp pain to his back.”  The boy saw a man with “what appeared to be a knife,” and ran from the park to his home.

Two hours later, states Officer Balajadia, the victims family contacted Guam Police and the boy  was taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.
