$150,000 in Copper Wire Stolen From Navy


Guam – Navy Public Affairs Officer Annette Donner confirmed for PNC News today [Friday] that copper wire with an estimated value of $150,000 was stolen Tuesday from Navy property next to the Piti Power Plant.

The theft is currently under investigation by the Navy Criminal Investigative Division of the Naval Base Guam Security Department.

No further details are available.

This latest copper wire theft, follows the reported theft of $9,000 worth of  copper wire last week which belonged to IBC and was suppsoed to be used for the electrical wiring at the new JFK High School in Upper Tumon.
