18 Year Old Woman Remains in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car in Tamuning Tuesday Night

Guam – An 18 year old woman is in critical condition this morning after being struck by a car in Tamuning last night [Tuesday].

Guam Fire Spokesman Lt. Ed Artero reports that the 911 call came in at 10:49 pm Tuesday night reporting an auto-pedestrian accident on Route 1 in Tamuning in front of Atkins Kroll.

Lt. Artero reports that the incident was classifed as a “traffic accident with major injuries.”

The woman was rushed to GMH where Nursing Supervisor Shirley Pinera told PNC News this morning that the woman is in critical condition with fractures to her ribs and spine and multiple facial lacerations.

Guam Police PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the woman was an “18 year old female Chuukese”  and that she was struck by a woman driving a red Toyota Yaris.

The woman was “unconscious and non-responsive” at the scene, according to Balajadia’s release.
