The victim told police the abuse would occur “at least once a month or once every other month.”
Guam – Ten months after a sexual abuse case involving an elementary school student was first reported to police, authorities finally made an arrest.
Guam police arrested 19-year-old Javin Ross Garrido and charged him with three counts first degree criminal sexual conduct as a first degree felony.
According to a magistrate complaint, police were called out to an elementary school in March last year for a criminal sexual conduct complaint. The 11-year-old victim told police that Garrido had raped her just a few days earlier while she was asleep.
The victim also reported that Garrido had been sexually abusing her since she was 3 or 4 years old.
The report does not indicate why 10 months had passed before Garrido was apprehended. Garrido was booked and confined.
