19 Year Old Cyclist in Stable After Collision With Pickup

Guam – A 19 year old bicyclist remains in stable condition this morning [Monday] at Guam Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a pickup truck Sunday evening in Yigo.

Sunday evening, GPD PIO A.J. Balajadia reported that the cyclist was taken to GMH with “serious head trauma.”

Officer Balajadia says the accident happened about 6:30 pm Sunday evening at the intersection of Jesus Amparo and Bobby Lane in Yigo’s Takano Subdivision.

A 70 year old woman driving a 2004 Ford Ranger was heading South on Jesus Amparo. The 19 year old was riding his bike West on Bobby Lane when the collision occurred.

Guam Highway Patrol is investigating.

Officers from Dededo Precinct Command responded to an Auto/Bike Crash, intersection of Jesus Amparo and Bobby Lane, Takano Subdivision, Yigo.  Female/70/Yigo, operating a 2004 Ford Ranger heading South on Jesus Amparo, Male early 20’s operating a bike, heading West on Bobby Lane, collide.

Male transported to GMH with serious head trauma.

Guam Highway Patrol activated.
