Guam- The 1st annual Donne’ Festival heats up tonight (Thursday) in the village of Mangilao. Mayor Nito Blas says the festival ties into the Mangilao Teresita fiesta celebration until the end of the weekend.
With a Mini Carnival, Chili Cook-off Competition, the crowning of Miss Donne, cultural dance performances, a karaoke contest, a petting zoo and other hot events, the mayor wants to invite everyone to experience something new.
“I just like to invite the people island wide. It don’t have to be Mangilao, it can be anywhere” said Blas. “Even some people from Rota are coming in to participate, so I’m really excited. I know it’s going to be successful.”
The Donne’ festival kicks off at 6 pm this evening and runs through September 26. The event is located next to the Mangilao church off Route 10.
