Two employees at the Guam Power Authority have tested positive for COVID-19.
GPA communications manager Art Perez confirmed that the two employees notified their supervisors yesterday.
“They are not at work and remain at home,” Perez stressed.
He added that GPA is following public health procedures and protocols.
“That’s what we’ve been doing from the onset of the pandemic. Not only for our employees but also for our customers as well,” Perez said.
Among the health and safety measures that GPA adopted are temperature screening, mandatory face mask in the workplace, and the sanitation of work areas.
Perez said he is not at liberty to reveal the names of the employees or the divisions that they worked for.
“But it’s important to know that we’ve taken the measures that that have been recommended following those protocols we were working with,” Perez said.
