2 Guam Firms Among 4 Getting NAVFAC $50M Munitions Response Contract


Guam – Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity multiple award contract Sept. 8 with a combined maximum capacity of $50 million to four SBA HUBZone firms.
The small business firms include: CKY Inc. of Hagatna, Guam; Donaldson Enterprises Inc. from Waikoloa, Hawaii; Environet Inc. of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Unitek Environmental Guam from Barrigada, Guam.

Under the terms of the contract these four companies will compete for task orders with scopes of work that will include munitions response and incidental environmental remediation on Guam and the surrounding Pacific Ocean.

“Safety is paramount,” said NAVFAC Marianas Commanding Officer Capt. Peter Lynch.

“This contract will facilitate the process of surveying construction areas and ensuring proper handling of any munitions and explosives of concern in an effort to enhance our culture of safety on all NAVFAC projects.”

The contract includes one base period and four option years with an expected completion date of September 2015.  

This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with five proposals received.
