2 more individuals were arrested in connection to the Dededo Skatepark Riot that occurred last week.
According to the Guam Police Department, yesterday, GPD’s Community Crimes Task Force received information relative to an identified suspect and his involvement with the riot that took place at Dededo.
GPD reported, that at around 9:53 am yesterday, the CCTF received a tip reporting the location of the suspect, and arrangements with officers from the Dededo Precinct Command were initiated, in locating the suspect, a 22-year-old Chuukese male.
GPD further reported that at around 10:55 am yesterday, CCTF officers met with the suspect, Darwin Fortes, who was interviewed and arrested for Riot, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, and Criminal Mischief.
Furthermore, GPD reported that CCTF Officers were able to locate 19-year-old Kayson Nick at his residence in Dededo through the course of their investigation.
Nick was arrested for the following – Riot, Underage Consumption of Alcohol, and 2 Counts of Aggravated Assault.
Both Fortes and Nick were booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. The case remains open and forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for Prosecution.
