In one case, a man is accused of kicking a woman who is 9 months pregnant. In the other case, the suspect allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
Guam – Two reports of home invasion cases were filed in Superior Court over the weekend, one involving the assault of a pregnant woman.
The first case is against 23-year-old Alexander James Flores, who’s accused of attempting to break into his ex-girlfriend’s house. Court papers state that during the attempt, the victim tried to stop Flores but he “struck her with an open palm on her upper right eyebrow, punched her with a closed fist on her lip and kicked her in the stomach.”
The victim is currently 9 months pregnant. Flores was charged with felony home invasion, burglary, aggravated assault and assault of an unborn child.
In the second case, prosecutors charged 33-year-old Clemente San Agustin Bermudes with home invasion, burglary, aggravated assault, burglary to a motor vehicle and theft of property after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, broke into her grandmother’s residence when she ran there for help, then broke into his girlfriend’s car and stole $140 in cash.
Police say Bermudes tried to escape when police arrived, but he was eventually caught in a jungle area nearby.
