Session agenda includes bill to raise liquid fuel tax rate as well as bill to rename GVB building after the late Bert Unpingco.

Guam – Lawmakers are in session this week. 20 bills and one resolution are on the agenda.

One of the bills on the agenda is Senator Mike San Nicolas’ bill 63 which would require the Director Rev & Tax to determine the Guam-sourced income generated from federally-contracted activity by contractors who do not file their taxes on Guam. This would be reconciled with the section 30 reimbursements attributable to these federal contracts. Rev&Tax would then have to report its findings to the Governor and Speaker of the Legislature. Senator Espaldon’s bill 90 is also on the agenda. It would dedicate and name the Guam Visitors Building, as the Nobert ‘Bert’ R. Unpingco building. Senator Tommy Morrisons bill 122 which incrementally increases the liquid fuel tax rate to fund village road repairs is also on the agenda.
