Guam- The GFA Bud Light 7-A-Side League started this past Sunday at LeoPalace. One of the games on tap featured the dck Masters against the Strykers.
The Masters lived up to their names and controlled the match throughout the day with good ball movement and more shots on goal. Rachel Jordan booted in two goals while her teammates Cheri Stewart and Eileen Flanagan helped out with a goal a piece.
All the other matches were shutouts as well, Quality Distributors blanked Hyundai 5-0. Paige Surber scored two of those goals. The biggest blowout was the Orange Crushers beating the Islanders 11-0. Kristin Thompson chalked up four goals and Meagan Speck and Joni Tedpahago both scored three goals. The smallest shutout was Guam Shipyard edging Bombers 1-0 with Alyssa Benito scoring the only goal of the match.
The 7-A-Side Tournament have all their matches on Sunday at LeoPalace with two matches at 4pm and two matches at 5:15pm.
