Guam- The Orange Crushers and dck Masters will meet in the 2010 GFA Bud Light Women’s 7-A-Side Soccer League final on Sunday, November 28 at 4:45 p.m.
In the semifinals, the Crushers defeated defending champions Guam Shipyard 6-4 while Masters got by Quality Distributors 3-2.
The Masters will try to secure their second 7-a-side title in three years and continue their run of winning at least one women’s competition a year since inception in 2008.
The Crushers, women’s soccer’s winningest club, will finish in first or second place for the 14th time in the last 17 women’s soccer competitions. However, they will want to add to their futsal crown won in June after finishing second to the Paintco Strykers in both the 11-a-side and beach soccer leagues earlier this year.
Also on Sunday, Quality will play Shipyard for third place. In the Silver Plate playoffs, designed to give the lower ranking teams a postseason, Hyundai will face Bombers in the Plate final while Strykers and Guahan.com play in the consolation match. Newcomers Islanders finish their inaugural season in 9th place and will have a bye in the final week.
