Golden Hoops Ready To Go

Guam- Aloha Maid and Bank of Guam present the Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2010 Fall Tournament promoting the sport of basketball in the adult community. Twenty two teams have been placed in their respective divisions and opening games are scheduled for August 29th, Sunday at Tamuning Gym. The tournament concludes on Sunday October 10th with division championship games.

Tournament games are division round robin with a double elimination playoff format and are played on Wednesday evenings and Sundays at Tamuning Gym.
A fundraising exhibition game is scheduled for 7pm Friday, September 3rd at Tamuning Gym between the GHC All Star team and visiting Philippine professional PBA team “Barangay Ginebra Kings”. There is a $5 donation entrance fee and the Kings will be available for photos and autograph signing at the conclusion of the game. The Kings are visiting Guam to conduct a youth basketball clinic on Saturday, September 4th at Tamuning Gym for ages 6 to 14.
In its continued support of village communities playing together the villages of Inarajan, Yigo, Agana Heights and Tamuning have entered their club teams.
Organized teams sponsored by local businesses such as Aloha Maid, Bank of Guam, Express Signs, Tango Theatre, Guam Radiology Clinic express their appreciation for their continued support.

The first game is scheduled for 10am in the recreational division between the Aloha Maid Mystics and Tamuning Typhoons Rec-1. The final game will be played at 7pm in the 40 plus competitive division between Express Club and the Guam Fire Fighters Club.
