Holiday TipOFF Now In Playoffs

Guam – Holiday TipOFF Tournament Games completed their final double round robin games on Thursday and head back to Tamuning Gym Sunday, December 26, to begin it’s double elimination playoffs.

In the 25U Men’s Varsity Division the Tamuning Typhoons and DLX All Stars had identical 4-2 team records. With the point spread equal it came down to a toss of a coin to determine seed 1. The Typhoons won the toss giving them first seed followed by DLX with second seed. Team ExpendaBulls seeded third and the Inarajan Hawks were seeded fourth.

In the 14U JV Coed Division the Barrigada Crusaders seeded first by a point spread while MVP Junior Stars seeded second with team records of 5-1. Coming in third seed was the Warriors Club and fourth seed went to Tamuning Typhoons.

“It’s been a grueling six days for everyone having to play one or two games a day but the two day rest will give everyone to recover and come back fresh for the playoff games,” stated tournament official Manuel Matagolai.

Playoff games start at twelve in the afternoon on Sunday and continue on with the loser’s bracket finishing the day with the last game being played at 6:15pm. Championship game day will be on Wednesday at six and 7:30 in the evening for the 14U and 25U respectively. GTA will be providing the prizes for the MVP, All Offensive and All Defensive winners.
