Guam- It took the Okkodo Bulldogs three sets to defeat the Father Duenas Friars in high school boy’s volleyball. The Friars looked like they were going to lose the first set but a 4 point rally and a no joke spike ended the first set in the Friars favor 25-22.
That didn’t shake up the Bulldogs though. The Dogs kept the mistakes to a minimum and kept the Friars playing catch up and the Friars couldn’t really get anything going and lost the second set 12-25. The Bulldogs kept that ball rolling into the thrid set and there was nothing the Friars could really do except rotate players and watch the Bulldogs runaway with the set 25-18.
In the other match yesterday, the GW Geckos held off the Southern Christian Academy Dolphins to keep there perfect record. The Geckos won the match 25-13, 23-25, 25-23. More boy’s volleyball matches are slated for tonight.
