Okkodo Will Face G.W. In Volleyball Final

273

Guam- It was a battle between the Okkodo Bulldogs and the Father Duenas Friars to see who would go on to challenge the George Washington Geckos in the final volleyball match of the season.  And after three sets, the Bulldogs will once again take on the Geckos for the ultimate prize.

Undoubtedly, the Bulldogs are one of the stronger teams in the league and were determined to challenge the Geckos one more time.  The Friars did not allow the Bulldogs to run them over and stayed alive by winning the second set.  But the Bulldogs played their game while the Friars faltered after a third set rally fell short.

The Bulldogs defeated the Friars 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.  Bulldogs Head Coach Dean Rivera thinks the team has what it takes to win the title. “We need to stay on top of our game and play our game and not theirs… we should be able to take it home,” Rivera said in a phone interview.

The Geckos have not lost in the regular and post season so the Bulldogs will have to defeat the Geckos twice tomorrow night in order to win the title.  The Bulldogs losses this season only came from one team… G.W.
