Guam – Last Year’s MVP still racks up the points in the Philippine Amateur Basketball League.
Yesterday against Big Navy JP Cruz dropped in whopping 40 points from all over the place to help chop down Big Navy. At one point in the game Cruz found his spot in the corner of the court and nailed three consecutive threes to push the Stars lead to the point of no return.
The MVP STARS defeated Big Navy 92-69. Shasta Williams was the top scorer for Navy with 25 points.
In the other games yesterday, Senior National Team beat King’s 76-57 in a combined team effort. King’s James Collins led the game with 25 points. Andersen Bombers over Docomo DLX All Stars 68-46. In the women’s division the Phoenix Sparks defeated MVP Lady Stars 88-64 and in the Masters Division Express Signs pulled out Harmon Dental Clinic 101-70. Danny Cepeda got 32 points in the win.
