Guam – Mark Paulino and the 76 Bank Pacific Cougars held down a feisty Paradise Fitness Junior Nationals team in a Budweiser Baseball League game that featured both teams getting a five run inning.

Paulino was a triple away from completing a cycle last night and was the big stick in the bottom of the fourth where he smacked a three RBI homer to put the Cougars up 6-2.

The Nats five run inning came in the top of the eighth.  The Nats were down 9-3 when they got 5 runs off of 4 hits to make it a one run ballgame with an inning to go.

But it would be the Cougars who score a run and take the ballgame 10-8.

With the win the Cougars improve to 4-4.  Kyle Arce was awarded the win with 3Ks, Jonathan Barnes got the save with 3Ks.  Mark Paulino went 3-4 with 3 runs, 4 RBIs and a homer.  Roman Aguero was 1-4 with 2 RBIs and Nick Arce went 1-2 with 2 runs and a ribi.

Broadridge Santos got the loss and finished with 5 strikeouts. Gerald Borja was perfect going 3-3 with 3 runs and a ribi.  Shane Tenorio was 2-5 with 3RBIs.
The Nats now fall to 2-7.

Tomorrow night Team Belau will play the Agana Heights Docomo Reds.  Game is at 7 at the Paseo Stadium.
