Guam – The Bank Of Guam A’s capitalized on early errors to romp the 76/Bank Pacific Cougars 9-3 in last night’s Budweiser Baseball League game.  The A’s had a very productive second inning scoring 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 cougar errors.  Errors would keep plaguing the Cougars in the fourth.  2 errors would help the A’s get 2 runs on 2 hits in the bottom of the fourth.  The A’s went up 9-1 by the end of eight innings.

Mike Myers hit a 2 RBI double in the ninth but that would be all the Cougars could get.

Eric Cepeda was awarded the win with 8Ks. Kareem Mortin stepped on the mound in the seventh and got 4 strikeouts.  Calvin Naputi went 2-5 with 2 RBIs, Matt Muna was 1-4 with a ribi and Ryan Martinez finished 3-5 with a run and a RBI.

Zach Sablan got the loss with no strikeouts.  Mark Paulino was 1-3 with a run.   Colby Barnes gut a run and Mike Myers was 1-1 with 2RBIs.

The Cougars now find themselves 3-3 and on a three game skid after starting the season 3-0.  The Bank improves to 6-1 and tied with AK.

There is no ball game tomorrow and the make up game for the Moylan’s ODC Braves and the Cougars is this Friday with the game starting at 7:00p.m. at Paseo Stadium.  The make-up game will officially end the first round of the season.
