Guam – It was a defensive night in the Budweiser Baseball league.
The game was quiet up until the fourth winning when the the Braves knocked in 3 runs off 3 hits to take a three run lead and Belau’s defense would prevent more runs from coming in.
Belau would take advantage of their last at bat and made it a very interesting ballgame. Belau drove in 2 runs but would leave the tying run stranded on third.
This loss drops Belau to 1-6 and puts the Braves at 5-1 and tied with the A’s and the Islanders in the standings.
JP Aguon was awarded with the win and recorded two strikeouts. Jerome Andrew got the first save of the season. Bj Balajadia went 1-5 with 2 RBis. John Sarmiento was 2-5, Tony Doyle went 2-3 with a ribi and Dale Alvarez finished 1-4 with a run.
Rudolpho Santos was given the loss and became the league leader with 6Ks. Calvin Johanes went 2-4 with a run, Jordan Mongami was 1-4 with a run and junior Borja was 2-4 with a ribi.
