Friars, Dolphins Will Play For Soccer Title

Guam – The Father Duenas Friars and Southern High Dolphins will contend for the 2011 Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam Boys’ Soccer League championship.

The title match will take place on Saturday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m.

The Friars, who won 5-1 over the George Washington Geckos in the semifinals, have made it to the title match for the fifth time in eight years, including the last three. The Dolphins have reached their first ever final, courtesy of a 6-1 win over the Harvest Christian Academy Eagles, and look to avenge their 3-0 loss to the Friars in the regular season.

The Geckos and Eagles will play in the consolation match beforehand, kicking off at 4:30 p.m.

Concessions will be available and admission is $2 for students and $5 for adults.
