MFL Kick Off Pushed Back A Week

Guam – The start of the Miller Football League has been moved to Saturday, January 29th.

Everything else still remains the same.

There are still four teams participating, Cars Plus Rams, Docomo Chargers, Shell Hal’s Angels and Pepsi Warriors.  The opening game will still feature the defending Hal’s Angels and the Cars Plus Rams in a rematch of last years championship game.

All games are at 2:30 in the afternoon every Saturday and Sunday at the U.O.G. Field located behind the U.O.G. Fieldhouse.  Admissions will be $2 per person  with free admission to children under 10 years of age.  The proceeds will be donated to a non-profit organization. In 2010, the MFL collected and donated $5,000 to the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Fundraiser, which funded grants for local victims suffering from cancer. “It was great that because we played football in the MFL, we were able to help people suffering from cancer on Guam”, says 2011 MFL Co-Comissioner EJ Calvo.
