In a snapshot this year’s highlighted teams are DLX All Stars, Outlaws, Bulls and MTM Falcons Club making their first appearance at the SummerJam games. Fan favorites include the Inarajan Hawks, Southern Rai, Northern All Stars and Tamuning Typhoons. The comeback of the Sinajana Rockers will give many club teams a run for this summer’s title.
TakeCare has presented fans annually with competitive and recreational age division games. It starts with the exciting 8 and 10 under games and ending with the exhilarating men’s 25 and under varsity level division games. “Players participating in the TakeCare basketball program over the years requested to continue playing after passing the age of 18. The result was the addition of its Epic Division for the 25 and under men’s varsity players,” stated tournament coordinator Elsa Ulloa.
The TakeCare SummerJam tournament now in its seventh year will host 60 teams, 250 plus games, 750 plus participants and over 1,000 fans visiting Tamuning Gym each week fulfill it’s goal by bringing the community together promoting physical fitness and keeping Guam youths off the streets.
