Guam – Guam International Airport Executive Director Chuck Ada has announced that the Federal Aviation Administration has reviewed allegations surrounding the airport’s lease to PacAir and found no violations.
Ada made the announcement Thursday at the GIAA Board meeting.
He said that Mike and Al Ysrael sent a letter to the FAA District Office in January alleging violations of federal regulations and grant covenants with regards to the PacAir lease. The Ysraels objected to sub-leases being granted to non-airport related businesses, under-cutting their own property management business.
And Vice-Speaker B.J. Cruz last year had also objected to what he felt were un-usually generous terms granted to PacAir.
However Ada announced that following a review, the FAA found no problems with the lease agreement.
PNC News contacted Mike Ysrael who declined comment because he has not yet read the report.
