2018 Lip Dub winners announced

Guam – The winners of the 2018 Senior Lip Dub Challenge were announced Sunday, and the Tiyan High School Titans are five times victorious, after winning the small school category four years in a row, they now claim their first title in the large school category.

At the Agana Shopping Center Sunday, a display of school colors filled the center court and cheers rang throughout the mall. The annual challenge presented by Power 98 and Red Dragon productions has allowed schools the opportunity to create videos showcasing their school spirit and class unity.

The judging is based primarily on lip-syncing, spirit and technical aspects. The winning senior classes are able to spend the money towards events such as prom, or graduation ceremonies.

“It really means so much to us especially because this is our fourth year in a row. We’ve won the small schools for the past four years and it feels good to finally win for the big schools, as our first year in the big schools category.” 01:34 “Thank you to Mrs. Hernandez for helping us put everything together, she’s our class council, and admin as well, and everyone else that helped participate and pull through and make our lip dub the best of this year,” said Tiyan High student Isaac Ignacio.

Claiming victory in the small school category, the Notre Dame Royals will receive $1,500 dollars, while the Titans will receive $2,000.
