The tax filing season has begun, by paper submission only.
Rev and Tax director Dafne Shimizu says her department began accepting 2019 tax returns yesterday.
Shimizu said there was no delay in accepting returns. They actually followed the IRS which set Jan. 27 as the start date for accepting returns.
There are a limited number of blank hard copy 1040 Forms available at DRT said Shimizu. However taxpayers needing forms can download them from the IRS website at >>> https://www.irs.gov/.
Shimizu also said the Guam taxpayers cannot yet file their returns online. Once the system is capable of accepting online returns, Rev and Tax will send out a release she said.
