$258,377 in Past Due Overtime Paid to GPD Uniformed and Civilian Employees


Guam – Guam Police Chief Fred Bordallo has announced that over $258,377 dollars in past due overtime was paid out to GPD employees on Friday and Saturday.

According to a statement issued by designated GPD Spokesman Allan Guzman, the checks were distributed to both uniformed and civilian employees.

The Chief of Police announces that over $400.000 of overtime has paid out as of October 11, 2013. Checks were distributed on late Friday and throughout Saturday October 12, 2013 to the Guam Police Departments Uniformed and Civilians.   The Chief thanks the Governor and the staff at the Department of Administration and the men and woman of the Guam Police Department both Uniformed and Civilians.

Clarification from GPD Spokesman Officer Allan Guzman:

Just to clarify regarding the overtime paid out.  GPD has paid out $258,377.00 in overtime to cover pay periods June 15, June 29, and July 13, 2013.  The chief of Police is working on securing additional funds to bring the department up to date.
