The second charter flight from Taiwan arrived on Guam at 3:01 pm this afternoon.

The chartered Eva Air flight brought 171 Taiwanese vaccine tourists to Guam, Guam Visitors Bureau president Carl Gutierrez said.

According to Gutierrez, the passengers all looked happy and upbeat.

A welcoming delegation was again on hand to greet the Taiwanese tourists, including Joe Guam who provided the entertainment.

This afternoon’s flight was the second of 11 scheduled charter flights from Taiwan to Guam.

According to GVB, the next upcoming charter flights from Taiwan to Guam are scheduled for July 14, 18, 22, 25, 26, 27, 29, and Aug. 2, 8, and 12.

The Taiwanese tourists are staying at various hotels all over the island including the Tsubaki Tower, Dusit Thani Guam, Nikko Hotel Guam, Hyatt Regency Guam, and Pacific Island Club.

Gutierrez said that since the first charter flight arrived, he has been monitoring tourist activity in Tumon and he has seen tourists enjoying themselves in the Tumon strip and in the beach.

“Air V&V is a success! Taiwan is turning out to be a great market source for Guam,” Gutierrez told PNC.
