Three students from Bishop Baumgartner Memorial Catholic School tested positive for COVID-19 between the period of Nov. 13 to Nov. 19, 2021. Those are the only positive cases for the period.
The school administration is working with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) and the Archdiocese’s COVID-19 Liaison on contact tracing. They have taken the necessary safety measures as part of their school COVID-19 protocols, which include communicating with parents/guardians of the affected students.
A positive case reported from a school does not necessarily mean that the individual contracted the virus at the campus.
Archbishop Michael Byrnes, Superintendent of Catholic Education Father Val Rodriguez, and Bishop Baumgartner President, David Duenas ask everyone to pray for the students and all who have contracted the virus.
