3 earthquakes hit Guam-CNMI

Guam was hit with a magnitude 5.3 earthquake on Friday – one of three earthquakes that struck the Guam-CNMI area from June 11 to June 14.

The U.S  Geological Survey reported that the earthquake on Friday occurred about 16 miles east of Guam at around 5:51 CHST. The quake did not pose a tsunami threat to Guam and CNMI, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

On Thursday, June 13 a 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 295 km Southwest of Hagatna, near Santa Rita. There were no reports of injuries or infrastructure damage. No tsunami warnings or advisories were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

On Tuesday, June 11 at around 2:30 a.m, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 229 km East Southeast of Pagan, CNMI. There were no reports of injuries or infrastructure damage. No tsunami warnings or advisories were issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
