4.5 magnitude earthquake west of Merizo; no injuries, damage or tsunami alert

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.5 that struck 267 kilometers west-southwest of Merizo with a depth of 233.8 km, at 6:33 a.m. (ChST).

There is no tsunami threat to Guam from the earthquake. There were no reports made to Guam 911 dispatch of damages or injuries from the earthquake.
