At 4:07 pm Monday afternoon, Guam Fire Department rescue units responded to Pagat Caves in Mangilao for 4 lost hikers.
The lost hikers — 3 males and 1 female — are all in their 30s.
According to the reporting party, he dropped the group off at 4 pm Sunday to fish overnight. At 2 pm on Monday, the hikers informed him that they were having difficulty finding their way back to the trailhead.
Using GPS coordinates from the last known location, rescuers entered the trail and were able to reach the hikers at 7:44 pm.
According to GFD spokesman Kevin Reilly, all members were escorted back to the trailhead safely at 8:30 pm.
Other than fatigue, Reilly said the hikers were in good health and required no emergency medical attention.
There were no injuries reported from either hikers or rescuers.
