41 new COVID-19 cases; CAR score is 41.5

The Joint Information Center has reported 41 new cases of COVID-19 as of 6:05 pm, Saturday, Nov. 14

To date, there have been a total of 5,965 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 93 deaths, 1,930 cases in active isolation and 3,942 not in active isolation.

As of November 14, 2020 the COVID Area Risk (CAR) Score is 41.5. The CAR Score accounts for the incidence of new cases, how well current testing identifies these cases, and the rate of spread. DPHSS Contractor Clearance Checklist Available

Construction companies and contractors on Guam can resume operations subject to meeting minimum requirements in the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Contractor Clearance Checklist.

DPHSS issued a Directive suspending all construction projects on Guam effective close of business Saturday, November 14, 2020, until further notice from DPHSS. This was due to the finding of significant clusters of COVID-19 positive cases among the employees of local construction companies.

Construction companies and contractors requesting for clearance must fill out the DPHSS Contractor Clearance Checklist and Attachment A. Subcontractors to Black Construction Corporation and Core Tech International are listed in Attachment B. The required forms are available for download at https://dphss.guam.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Contractor-Clearance-Form-FINAL.pdf.
