Guam – The 46 year old woman who was pulled from waters in Tumon Bay Sunday and died yesterday [Tuesday] at GMH identified in social media by friends as Sharade Kila. Kila was known to her friends as Lani. She had lived and worked on Guam for more than a decade, but she was originally from Hawaii.
She was pulled unconscious from the waters off Matapang Beach Sunday afternoon.
Guam Memorial Hospital Nursing Supervisor Jo Ustakuio told PNC News Tuesday that Kila was pronounced dead shortly after 1 Tuesday afternoon.
She had been on a ventilator and in “very critical” condition at GMH until her death.
The social media reports say the woman had been partying on the beach with some friends. She was later found lying face down in the water. She is survived by a young daughter.
