46 Year Old Local Woman Remains in Very Critical Condition After Near Drowning


Guam – A 46 year old local woman remains in “very critical” condition following a reported near drowning in Tumon Bay Sunday afternoon.

As of Monday afternoon,  GMH Nursing Supervisor Cely Mangrobag told PNC News that the woman has been on a ventilator in the Critical Care Unit since she was brought in about 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

Guam Fire Spokesman Capt Andy Arceo told PNC News that bystanders pulled her from the water off  Matapang Beach and a Life Guard performed CPR at the scene. Fire & Rescue got the call just after 3 pm and rushed the woman to GMH.
