Guam – The 4th Annual Middle School Girls Soccer Festival has now been rescheduled after last week’s tsunami warning forced the festival to be cut short.
The rescheduled festival will take place this Friday, exactly one week after the devastating 8.9-magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami rocked Japan. The Guam soccer community will pay the victims a tribute by observing a minute of silence before all matches.
The new schedule is as follows:
GFA Pitch 2 (Upper Field)
5:30 p.m. Inarajan Warriors vs. Anderson Dragons
6:30 p.m. Harvest Eagles vs. Untalan Wildcats
GFA Pitch 1 (Lower Field)
5:30 p.m. Bishop Obispos vs. Benavente Roadrunners
6:30 p.m. Agueda Pirates vs. Mt. Carmel Phoenix
7:30 p.m. FBLG Hawks vs. San Vicente Braves
Due to the new festival schedule, the Budweiser Guam Men’s Soccer League Division Two match between Guahan ICRC and Guahan Warriors schedule for that night will be moved to 7:30 p.m. on GFA Pitch 2 (Upper Field).

Like the festival, the BGMSL, Bud Light Women’s Soccer League and Guam Shipyard Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League will all observe a minute’s silence before this week’s matches in order to pay respect to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
