A five year old girl is in stable condition at the Guam Memorial Hospital after falling from the 3rd story balcony of the Dewan apartments in Tamuning
Guam – On Saturday night a five year old girl fell from the balcony of the third floor of the Dewan apartments in Tamuning.
According to Guam Police Department Public Information Officer AJ Balajadia three minors ages sixteen eleven and five were on the third floor balcony when the the “five-year-old climbed over the baluster onto the ledge to retrieve an item (hair tie) she lost her balance and fell to the parking lot below.” Balajadia says it appeared that she landed on her feet but suffered a right femur compound fracture. The victim and her mother were transported by a GFD medic unit to GMH. GMH spokeswoman June Perez says the girl is in serious but stable condition in the GMH Pediatric Intensive Care unit. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Section and Child Protective Services.
