53 new COVID-19 cases; 2 more GDOE employees test positive

The Joint Information Center reported 53 new COVID-19 cases as of 4:30 pm, Saturday, Oct. 31.

To date, there have been a total of 4,681 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 79 deaths, 1,936 cases in active isolation and 2,666 not in active isolation.

Two GDOE Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

On Saturday, October 31, 2020, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) received notification that two GDOE employees tested positive for COVID-19. These cases were identified at Agana Heights Elementary School and the GDOE Tiyan headquarters.

GDOE is working closely with DPHSS to conduct contact tracing and any close contacts of the confirmed cases will be contacted directly. Areas of the campuses and offices will be cleaned and disinfected as needed. Hard copy packet and food distribution will not be interrupted.
