6.7 magnitude earthquake hits Philippine province of Mindoro; no tsunami warning for Guam


A preliminary 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines at 6:49 am on Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit the southern Philippine province of Mindoro, near the resort area of Puerto Galera, at a depth of nearly 70 miles.

No damage or injuries were immediately reported although this could change.

There is no tsunami threat to Guam or the CNMI.
