Six more individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the CNMI. This brings the CNMI total to 304 cases since March 28, 2020.
The individuals were identified and confirmed via contact tracing on Oct. 28, 2021.
The recently identified individuals have been quarantined and are actively monitored.
The CHCC Communicable Disease Investigation/Inspection team has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the newly confirmed cases, and this effort will continue until all probable cases are identified and tested.
COVID-19 vaccine booster shots or initial shots are the best protection available.
CNMI residents are encouraged to register for initial COVID-19 vaccinations or booster shots at www.vaccinatecnmi.com, by calling the CHCC call center at (670) 682-SHOT (7468), or registering in person.
To register for school-based or community-based testing, visit https://covidtesting.chcc.health. Stay tuned for more dates.
The CNMI is reminding residents to watch out for misinformation and to follow updates directly from the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the CHCC. The spread of misinformation is just as dangerous as the virus itself.
Note: The diagnosis sources have been corrected. The correction does not affect contact tracing. All COVID-19 positive cases are investigated thoroughly.
